WHY HEMP?
Using organic hemp fiber as a natural resource is a new exploration for us here at Rumpl, and we're so excited to be adding such a versatile and feature-rich fiber to our collection.
HEMP USES VERY LITTLE WATER
It only takes 80 gallons of water to produce 2 pounds of hemp fiber, compared to the 1000s of gallons of water needed to produce the same amount of other natural fibers. Plus, production mainly uses rainwater!
HEMP ENRICHES THE SOIL IT WAS GROWN IN
The entire hemp crop can be put to use, as the stalk is used as fiber and the leaves can be plowed back into the soil as fertilizer, meaning that hemp creates its own nutrient-rich soil for future crops.
HEMP DOESN’T NEED PESTICIDES TO GROW
The hemp plant is naturally resistant to most insects and disease, essentially eliminating the need for any harmful pesticides or herbicides.
SUPER HIGH YIELD PER ACRE OF LAND
Hemp farmers can produce twice the amount of fiber per acre than cotton can, and since it requires less water, there are more regions of the planet where hemp can be grown with little to no use of irrigation.

Hemp fabric lasts longer and doesn’t wear out as quickly as cotton does. It also has 3x more tensile and flexible strength than cotton, holding its shape time and again.
