How do your 60-day returns work?

We want you to love your Rumpl, so we offer a 60-day returns policy. Not satisfied with your purchase? Start a return from our Returns page within 60 days of delivery and we’ll take care of you. Returns for store credit are free; returns for a refund may be subject to a $15 return fee.

Is this blanket waterproof?

All Rumpl Puffy blankets are treated with a PFAS-free 90/10 DWR, making them highly water and stain-resistant; however, they are not completely waterproof.

What is NanoLoft® Insulation?

NanoLoft® is a proprietary synthetic insulation made from a partially plant-based formula, engineered to mimic the properties of real down feathers. Designed for superior heat retention, compressibility, and rebound, NanoLoft® provides exceptional warmth, even when wet, and won’t develop the “down funk” associated with traditional down.

How warm is the Backcountry Puffy?

It's our warmest blanket: 20% warmer than the Original Puffy, and 25% more packable. It's still a blanket, not a sleeping bag, so for nights near freezing, use it over a sleeping bag or layer a second blanket.

How is it different from the Original Puffy?

It's warmer, lighter, and packs smaller: 1.76 lbs vs 2.2 lbs in 1-Person, packing to 5.9 x 14.2 inches vs 7 x 16. It adds a tougher 50D diamond ripstop liner and a stash pocket for your phone or keys. The Original comes in more prints and in Mini and Compact Throw sizes.

How do I wash my Rumpl?

All Rumpl Puffy Blankets are machine washable. We recommend using a front-loading washing machine on cold with a gentle detergent designed for technical or outdoor gear to help preserve the DWR finish. Hang to dry or tumble dry with no heat (low is OK if you're in a hurry), and skip machines with an agitator.

How do I get it back in the stuff sack?

Stuff it, don't fold it. Push one corner to the bottom of the sack and keep feeding the blanket in by the handful. Pro tip: roll the top 4 times toward the logo before you clip it. Lost or ripped the sack? Replacement Stuff Sacks are available on our site.

    Wow.. don’t know what else to say.

    This is just the best. I bought the 2 person size to use as a light weight sleeping bag alternative. It’s lighter than most of them and has more room. I do wish it had a “middle/third” clip for a little better closure folded over for this use, but otherwise it’s perfect. Perhaps it’s already perfect for most and I’m just picking. I have a bunch of rumpl products. Pillow, 2 original puffy’s and a 2 person down one too. I hope they make more down blankets, that one is my favorite, but this is a ton better than the original nano-loft ones. Like way better! If you’re on the fence about it, you won’t be disappointed.

    My Adventure Staple

    I recently got the Backcountry Puffy Blanket and the quality is top notch. After a few trips under our belt with these blankets I know they will hold up to all of the abuse to come as we continue to explore the beautiful backcountry here in the states. The size is ideal for bringing on backpacking trips. The new cape clip is so secure it withstands crazy high levels of wind (I'm talking 70+ mph gusts) with complete peace of mind that it isn't going anywhere. I get cold very easily and being able to utilize cape mode when I'm cooking around camp or hanging by a fire is now the only way I know how to comfortably operate. And as a girl who hates having her hands full I really appreciate the corner zip stash pocket for my phone, head lamp, car keys -- really whatever small, important items I want nearby but don't want to lose.

    It helps me stay temperature regulated at night when I don't want to be zipped into my sleeping bag which makes for a much better night's rest and I can attach it to my husband's blanket to make it bigger. Honestly the fact that it's so multifunctional has us hooked on the Backcountry Puffy and I don't know if I could ever rave enough.
