With a recycled ripstop liner, RenewaLoft™ insulation, and a PFAS-free DWR finish, it’s built to deliver Rumpl’s signature performance in the environments where most blankets fail. From campfires and cabins to wood stoves and fire pits, this blanket is designed for warmth, durability, and peace of mind.

Now in Sage Navy, a deep, oceanic that pairs Rumpl's classic blue with a dusty sage.

Disclaimer: The shell material on the Campfire Puffy Blanket is resistant to most sparks and embers, but this product is not flame or fire-resistant. Maintain a safe distance from any open flame at all times.

Common questions about the Campfire Puffy Blanket - Sage Navy

What makes EmBarrier™ flame-resistant, and how does that technology work?

EmBarrier™ is made from a unique blend of 60% modacrylic (a naturally flame-resistant fiber) and 40% cotton. The flame resistance is built into the fibers themselves, with no chemical treatments or coatings required. That means the protection won’t wash out over time. Note: EmBarrier™ is ember-resistant, not fireproof. It’s designed to protect against stray sparks and embers, not direct flames.

What kind of safety testing did EmBarrier™ go through?

The EmBarrier™ fabric passed multiple safety and performance tests, including: Flammability Test (ISO 15025:2016), passing a surface ignition test using a propane flame applied for 10 seconds; CA Prop 65 Lead Testing, certified safe for kids' products; and Chemical Trace Testing (EPA 8270D + others), with no harmful chemicals detected.

What does “ember-resistant” or "spark-resistant" mean?

Spark and ember-resistant materials should self-extinguish once the source of ignition is removed, but keep in mind that given a certain amount of time and heat level, anything will burn eventually. Flame-resistant or fire-resistant materials are designed to prevent the spread of fire and withstand heat. None of these are fireproof, so keep them out of direct flame.

Is the stuff sack ember-resistant too?

Mostly! The body of the roll-top stuff sack is made with EmBarrier™ fabric. The bottom panel is not ember-resistant, so just keep that part away from open flames.

Which side should face the fire?

The EmBarrier™ shell side. The liner is our standard VersaWeave™ ripstop, which isn't ember-resistant, so keep it facing you.

How warm is this blanket?

While our Puffy blankets aren't temperature rated, they should keep you plenty warm in 45° weather and above. Need something warmer? Cuddle up with a 2-Person size or layer two blankets.

Is the Campfire Puffy water-resistant?

The liner side is: it has a PFAS-free DWR finish that sheds spills and light rain. The EmBarrier™ shell is built for embers, not water, so it isn't DWR-coated.

How do I wash my Rumpl?

All Rumpl Puffy Blankets are machine washable. We recommend using a front-loading washing machine on cold with a gentle detergent designed for technical or outdoor gear to help preserve the DWR finish. Hang to dry or tumble dry with no heat (low is OK if you're in a hurry), and skip machines with an agitator.

How do I get it back in the stuff sack?

Stuff it, don't fold it. Push one corner to the bottom of the sack and keep feeding the blanket in by the handful. Pro tip: roll the top 4 times toward the logo before you clip it. Lost or ripped the sack? Replacement Stuff Sacks are available on our site.

Is my order eligible for free shipping?

Free shipping is offered for orders $75+ and being delivered to the lower 48 states of the US. Shipping charges will apply to orders being sent to AK, HI, and all international destinations outside the US. Please note that certain promotional items may be excluded from this offer.

How do your 60-day returns work?

We want you to love your Rumpl, so we offer a 60-day returns policy. Not satisfied with your purchase? Start a return from our Returns page within 60 days of delivery and we’ll take care of you. Returns for store credit are free; returns for a refund may be subject to a $15 return fee.

What is the Rumpl guarantee?

We have a three year warranty for any manufacturing defect on materials or craftsmanship from the time it was purchased. Send us a note at info@rumpl.com with proof of purchase and we'll take care of you! Bought it somewhere other than Rumpl.com? Register it on our Warranty page within 30 days of purchase.

Seems like a good product
Received my order in a timely manner. Happy to find blankets on sale because I’ve heard good things. Haven’t had a chance to use them yet but Rumpl really wanted a review.
