Is this really waterproof?

The Stash Mat features a water-resistant bottom that sheds damp grass and sand, but it isn't waterproof. The topside is treated with a PFAS-free DWR to keep it stain and water resistant. Need a waterproof bottom? Look at the Pack Mat or Overland Mat.

Is this mat padded?

Yes! The Overland Mat features dense 180 g/m² padding that provides comfort while helping to prevent slipping when standing or moving on the mat. The Stash Mat has lighter 120 g/m² recycled padding for comfort on the ground.

How does the Stash Mat turn into a tote?

Fold it along its seams and zip it into the built-in bag, which has one large and two medium pockets and a shoulder strap.

How do I wash my Rumpl Ground Mat?

We recommend shaking off your mat and then spot cleaning with a wet washcloth. Do not put in the dryer.

Is my order eligible for free shipping?

    Love the size and material, hate the zippers

    Love this picnic blanket open. It's HUGE! Finally enough for a family of four to relax on without being careful about arms and legs. However, putting it back together is a pain - its already hard to squish everything into the tote size. The zipper feels very low quality and hard to pull, which makes compacting the blanket even harder. Returned - really disappointed and waiting for a future improved zipper to rebuy.

    Super heavy duty and lot the carry bag design

    This is going to live in my car for whatever adventures come my way. I love the carry bag design with pocket to bring to your next outing. It seems like it would withstand wet ground and be up for whatever the weather

    Invaluable on Western Trip

    The stash mat, dubbed the briefcase, worked overtime on our trip out west. It was our picnic blanket for Park Friday in Denver, then our recovery blanket after finishing the Lamar Valley Trail in Yellowstone. Laid on top of dirt at the trailhead, we lounged on the mat while our son-in-law fished in the river. It cleans up quickly and packs easily into the zipped pouch. Everyone in the family now wants one!
